How do I find out what Tsums have already been released?
I personally use an online checklist along with another website that breaks down all Tsum Tsum releases into the various collections. It's worth noting however that not every Tsum Tsum has a global release. Some are exclusive to Disney Parks (such as the Tokyo Disney Resort) while others are event exclusives (such as the D23 Expo) that are not released elsewhere

Is it true that some Tsum Tsums are fake?
As with many brand items, yes there are fake Tsum Tsums in existence. You do not need to worry about a Tsum Tsum being fake if it was purchased from a legitimate retailer like the Disney Store. The worst place to get tricked in to buying a fake is eBay. If possible, try only to buy your Tsums from legitimate retailers to avoid disappointment. It can be very difficult to spot fakes (and I do not profess to be an expert) but I personally found this video to be very useful and informative
